A Mind Reading Dog?
08 Oct 2008

Something strange happened to me today.
I was sitting in the livingroom, drinking some coffee and reading my book. Molly, my Golden Retriever was dozing on the floor next to my feet.
Then I had this thought popping up in my head. “Maybe it’s time to take Molly out for a walk…”
I swear I didn’t make even the tiniest movement that could have stirred her doze - not a muscle! But the dog instantly turns towards me with an intense expression in her face. And when I got up from the coach, Molly runs straight to the front door. There she sits down and waits for me to take her out.
Maybe it was all just coincidence, I cant say. But it was a little spooky.

I live in australia and I used to own a chocolate coloured Kelpy dog.
I lived in the foot hills on an unfenced property in amoungst other houses. I had some incrediable experiences with my dog on this topic.
I remember once working on a coffee table in my shed and did not have a good tape measure and I made a mental note to get one sometime. Within a couple of days of this I found a tape measure by my front door with my dogs little teeth marks in one corner. Not long after this I was watering my pot plant in the kitchen which looked a little withered and made a note to get some plant food. Within a couple of days of this I found a small bottle of liquid plant food at my front door with his teeth marks on it. Then a couple of days later a little pot plant. I quite often had the morning paper there also. Once he got caught running of with a bicycle helmet, from some kids bike. they chased him back to my house, my dog then started to chew it up. I ended up having to pay for it and for one that I was planning to buy also. He also used to pinch the milk cartons and suck them dry and then chew up the evidence as I used to find them littering my yard after I wondered why he was not hungry some mornings. I know that this seems far fetched but this is what actually happened and I still find it spooky just thinking about it. Choco was a dog in a million and my only explanation was that he could read my mind.
